COMMENTS REGARDING THIS SESSION: 

Autumn is an amazing new talent with a style that is all her own.  The initial objective of this project was to create an 8x10 headshot comp card that was to accompany her demo CD. 

We say "initial" objective because I wanted to carefully architect a result that matched Autumn's style, her music and the overall image she was wanting to project to prospective agents, managers, labels and the like.  Therefore, we needed to spend time talking about that image.  We listened to her music and her beliefs.  We listened to her dreams.  There was a lot of care placed on the pre-shooting consultations to achieve the desired result for everyone involved. 

Autumn was a fantastic client.  She knew this project was an essential part of her "launch" -- and she wasn't afraid to have counsel along the way.  During the test portion of the shoot, I felt as though the best results could be achieved by designing several different looks and combining those into one finished deliverable.  Autumn has a "girl next door" pleasant everyday look, but she certainly also has a serious creative vibe look as well.  We had fun capturing lots of different looks while jamming to music, blowing her with fans, and using lighting to paint the right mood. 

The result is a multi-image 8x10-inch comp card and related images for use in mixed media (promotional tools, web sites, etc.).
