"The eagle has landed" is declared by staff at Metro Sports' studios as Tony Temple arrives Monday, 1 hour prior to his announcement.

Adjusting his tie, and pondering his yet-to-be-made decision 30 minutes before his announcment.

With a crew: Temple invited about 20 family members and friends to join him on the set of Metro Sports. Even his mother didn't know his decision.

Decision making: Tony explains his decision making process, which included lots of prayer time.

Who's it going to be?: Chad Harberts steps through the five schools that remain on Tony's short list.

And, the hat, please: Harberts signals Temple that the time to reveal is upon him and the live audience.

Tony the Tiger: Temple reaches for the Mizzou logo cap and selects University of Missouri.

Tiger time: Tony wears the cap for the first time as a verbally committed Tiger. He addresses the audience, and explains his decision.

What a day: Harberts takes a breath while Temple talks to local media. Chad has been covering Tony since his freshman year at Rockhurst.

Wall of fame: Temple signs the Metro Sports autograph mural and greets family members.

"Coach Hill, I want to be a Tiger": words spoken by Tony on the set of Metro Sports following his announcement. "I love you too," Tony said.

Ring, ring, ring: Temple's cell phone was ringing before, during and after his announcement.

Post annoucement: A rare, quiet moment in the newsroom at Metro Sports - Tony talks on camera with Brad Porter following his announcement.

Tony and Chad: Temple set a goal to be on Metro Sports early in his career. Long ago Tony told Harberts that he wanted to announce on Metro Sports.
